Coupon Lingo

COUPON LINGO
I'm going to do a nice series of blogs for all of you who ask the question...
"HOW DO I START COUPONING? I WISH I KNEW HOW TO DO IT!"
The first thing you will need to do in coming to my facebook page
 is know how to read my posts.
So I will start with a cheat sheet of Coupon Lingo :)
$1/2 = $1 Off 2
2/$1 = 2 For $1
BOGO = Buy One Get One (FREE or 50% Off)
B1G1 = Buy 1 Get 1 (FREE or 50% Off)
BRP = Balance Rewards Points (Walgreens)
CAT = Catalina
CRT = Coupons that Print at the end of your Cash Register Tape (like at CVS)
ECB = Extra Care Bucks (CVS)
ETS = Except Travel/Trial Size
EXP = Expires
DND = Does Not Double
IP = Internet Printed (Coupons)
ISO = In Search Of
IVC = Instore Value Coupon (Walgreens Tall Skinny Monthly Store Coupon Booklet,
found inside Walgreens stores next to the Sales Flyers)
OOP = Out Of Pocket
Mfg = Manufacturer
Mfg Q = Manufacturer Coupon
MIR = Mail In Rebate
MM = Moneymaker
NLA = No Longer Available
OYNO = On Your Next Order
P&G Insert = Proctor & Gamble Insert
Q = Coupon
RP Insert = RedPlum Insert
RR = Register Rewards (Walgreens)
SC = Shoppers Club (Wegmans)
SCR = Single Check Rebate (Rite Aid)
SS Insert = SmartSource Insert
SYWR = Shop Your Way Rewards (KMart)
Target Q = Target Coupon
UPC = Universal Product Code
WYB = When You Buy
WYS = When You Spend
11/6 SS Insert Refers to...
the SmartSource Coupon Insert found in the November 6th Sunday Newspaper,
write the dates on the front of the inserts when you get them,
or the dates are actually printed in very tiny print on the binding.
(I put mine in hanging file folders)

Final Price =
the end price after sale, coupon(s), register rewards etc
BUT it is a pretax amount since tax varies so much in different areas
Final Price = FREE means it is FREE before tax
Take for example Walmart....
Eucerin Lotion is $.97 in Travel Section
USE $1/1 ANY Eucerin Lotion Coupon
Final Price = $.03 MONEYMAKER
NOW.... in my area sales tax is 8%
so I am REALLY still spending $.05 in the end
BUT... since tax varies so much in different areas
coupon bloggers will always refer to the end price PRE-TAX

I'll continue to add abbreviations to this list if I come across something new.
And as ALWAYS....
If you need something explained when reading a blog... ASK :)
Post a question in the comments right on the page under my posting.
I am sure that if YOU have a question,
there is most certainly someone else out there who has the same question too!
