My Rite Aid Shopping Trip 2/5/12

MY RITE AID SHOPPING TRIP
Rite Aid Coupon Matchups 2/5 - 2/11
Since this is a household full of females we went for the FREE STAYFREE Deal! They had everything in stock that was on my list!
Since we are Food Stamp Recipients (since my daughter is disabled) My Total CASH Out Of Pocket was ZERO!!!
Here is how I worked it.

Transaction #1
I rang up ALL my food item separately FIRST since we use Food Stamps. This reduces my CASH OOP when I am shopping, and I got GREAT prices on what I got AND I got UP+ Rewards to use against my NON-Food items to make them TOTALLY FREE!!!
(8) 7-UP 2 Liters Sale 4/$5 ~ Received (2) $2 UP+ Rewards = $.75 each
Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake Mix 15.25oz AND Rich & Creamy Frosting 16oz Sale 2/$4 - $1/2 Coupon 1/22 SS Insert ~ Received $1 UP+ Rewards = $1.50 each
(2) Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes 17.5oz Sale 2/$4 - $1/2 Coupon 2/5 GM Insert ~ Received $1 UP+ Reward = $1.50 each
(2) Hershey's Pot of Gold Pecan Carmel Clusters 8.7oz Reg $9.99ea on Sale $3.99ea ~ Received (2) $1 UP+ Rewards = $2.99 each
Total = $17.98 after Coupons & UP+ Rewards - Paid for with Food Stamps = $00.00 OOP

Transaction #2
(3) Stayfree Super Maxi Pads 24ct Sale $3ea - (3) $1/1 Coupons = $6
USED $6 in UP+ Rewards from Transaction #1
Received (3) $2 UP+ Rewards
Final Price = FREE

I came home with (2) $1 UP+ Rewards to use in the future!
I found Stayfree packages with $.50 Peelie Coupons too that I can use in the future :)
If you are NOT a Food Stamp Recipient you will want to ROLL your UP+ Rewards a little different to maximize your savings than I did! Your thought process in maximizing your Total OOP Expense SHOULD be different depending on if you are a Food Stamp Recipient vs if you are NOT one. Today is a perfect example.
